How to delete your account and your data
If you have an account with Lil’ Sass: Adventures of Emotions or any Dunbar Group product, you can delete it and the data associated with it at any time. Here is exactly how.
Option 1 — delete from inside the app
- Open Lil’ Sass: Adventures of Emotions and sign in.
- Go to Account (or Settings → Account).
- Choose Delete account.
- Confirm. Your account and its generated books are queued for permanent deletion.
If the account belongs to a reader under 13, the consenting parent or guardian can perform the deletion from the same screen.
Option 2 — request deletion by email
Email privacy@dunbargroupassociates.com from the address on the account, with the subject line Delete my account. For a child’s account, email from the parent or guardian address that gave consent.
We confirm every deletion in writing. We do not require a reason, and we will not try to talk you out of it.
What gets deleted
- Your account record and sign-in credentials
- Profile and appearance choices (skin tone, hair, cape colour, favourite object)
- Conversation responses given during guided sessions
- Every illustrated book generated on the account
- Email preferences and any newsletter subscription
What we keep, and why
We retain a minimal record of the transaction where we are legally required to — for example billing and tax records for purchases, which we are obliged to hold for a statutory period. These records do not include your conversation content or generated books.
Anonymised, non-identifying operational data may remain in aggregate analytics. It cannot be linked back to you.
How long it takes
Deletion from live systems happens promptly and in all cases within 30 days of the request. Data is removed from encrypted backups within the normal backup rotation, after which it is unrecoverable.
Cancel a subscription first
Deleting an account does not automatically cancel a subscription billed by Apple. If you subscribed through the App Store, cancel in Settings → your name → Subscriptions on your Apple device. Subscriptions billed directly by us are cancelled as part of deletion.
