Privacy Policy
How Dunbar Group & Associates LLC handles personal information across our websites, our products and our consulting services — including the specific protections that apply to children.
Last updated 17 September 2026
Who this policy covers
This policy applies to Dunbar Group & Associates LLC (“Dunbar Group”, “we”, “us”), the website at dunbargroupassociates.com, the Lil’ Sass: Adventures of Emotions application, and the consulting and creative services we provide.
Our ventures operate their own sites at uplevelproductions.com, lilsass.com and lilsass.app. Where those properties publish their own policies, those apply to activity on them.
What we collect
Information you give us. Your name, email address, organization and the content of any message you send through a form on this site. For app accounts: an email address, account preferences, and the character and appearance choices a reader makes.
Content you create. In the Lil’ Sass app, the responses a reader gives during a guided conversation and the illustrated books generated from them.
Technical information. Standard server and analytics data such as IP address, device and browser type, and pages visited, used to keep the service secure and working.
How we use it
To respond to your enquiries; to provide, operate and improve our products and services; to generate the personalised content you request; to keep our systems secure; and to send you communications you have asked for.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
AI processing and personal identifiers
The Lil’ Sass app uses generative AI systems to produce illustrated stories. Personal identifiers, including names, are stripped before content is sent to those systems. The finished book is personal to the reader; the data transmitted to generate it is not identifying.
Conversations are screened for disclosures that warrant a human response rather than a generated story. Our products are emotional literacy and storytelling tools, not clinical or emergency services.
Children’s privacy
We take particular care with readers under 13. Verified parental or guardian consent is required before an account for a child under 13 can be used. The consenting adult retains control of the account, including the ability to review generated content and to request deletion at any time.
We collect only what is needed to provide the experience, and we do not use children’s information for behavioural advertising or profiling.
If you believe we hold information about a child without appropriate consent, contact privacy@dunbargroupassociates.com and we will delete it.
Data collection summary (App Store privacy disclosure)
This section maps what our products collect to the categories used in Apple’s App Privacy disclosure, so you can see it in one place.
Contact info. Email address — used for account creation, authentication and service messages. Linked to your identity. Not used for tracking.
User content. Responses given during a guided conversation and the illustrated books generated from them — used solely to deliver the app functionality you requested. Linked to your identity. Not used for tracking.
Identifiers. An internal account identifier — used for app functionality. Not shared with data brokers and not used for tracking.
Usage data and diagnostics. Crash and performance data and basic product interaction — used for analytics and to keep the service working. Not used for tracking.
Data we do not collect. We do not collect precise location, contacts, photos, health or fitness data, financial account details, browsing history, search history, sensitive personal information, or advertising identifiers. We do not use third-party advertising SDKs, we do not track users across apps or websites owned by other companies, and we do not sell personal information.
Names and AI. As described above, personal identifiers including names are removed before any content is sent to a generative AI provider.
Deleting your account
You can permanently delete your account and associated data at any time, from inside the app or by email. Full step-by-step instructions are here.
Who we share information with
Service providers who host our infrastructure, process payments, deliver email and provide the AI generation used in our products — each bound to use the information only to provide those services to us. We may also disclose information where required by law.
How long we keep it
Enquiry correspondence is retained while there is an active conversation and for a reasonable period afterwards. App account data and generated content are retained while the account is active. On deletion, personal data is removed from live systems promptly and from backups within the normal backup cycle.
Your rights
You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, request deletion, object to certain processing, or ask for a copy in portable form. Depending on where you live, additional rights may apply under laws including the California Consumer Privacy Act and the UK and EU GDPR.
To exercise any of these, email privacy@dunbargroupassociates.com. We respond within the period required by applicable law, and in any case within 30 days.
Security
We use industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, access controls and least-privilege data handling. No system is perfectly secure, and we will notify affected users and regulators as required if a breach occurs.
Changes to this policy
We will post any changes on this page and update the date above. Material changes affecting how we use personal information will be communicated directly where we hold contact details.
